I turned 49 recently and thought I'd write an essay about it. When teaching, I always had students write the standard "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" theme. I'm tweaking this to a "what I learned this summer." I guess if I expect kids to learn something, I'd better practice what I preach and share my discoveries. Family is most important.
